I like the way Scott depicts military leaders (like in today's cartoon). They look like little men engulfed in big authoritarian hats. Seems very fitting. Good show.
Scott knows there are only six billion people in the world, that's why a trillion is a comedically valid over-exaggeration. It's part of what makes it funny.
red33410: Absolutely, Scott is trying to influence us. He has actually admitted it on several occasions. He's trying to make us laugh, and making someone laugh is certainly influencing them.
First off, military spending is generally not pork, although funding a base in Leavenworth, KS, in the middle of the country, may have been a bit piggy.
Second, the soldiers shouldn't be wearing hats or helmets at all. Cover is never worn indoors.
